Deposit Guarantee Schemes
Description
The European Commission , jointly with Member States, is carrying out a review of Deposit Guarantee Schemes. As part of this review, they published a broad ranging consultation paper on the Deposit Guarantee Schemes Directive (94/19/EC). The deadline for response to this consultation was 14th October 2005.
In response to the consultation and to discuss guarantee schemes more generally, HM Treasury, the Bank of England and the FSA have jointly published the document, ‘A framework for Guarantee Schemes in the EU: A discussion paper’.
