Delivering Saving and Assets

In April 2001, the Government launched a consultation on two new proposals for policy towards saving and asset-ownership - the Saving Gateway and Child Trust Fund - with the publication of  'Saving and Assets for All'. Results of the initial consultation were published with Pre-Budget Report 2001 in a follow-up document, Delivering Saving and Assets. This document presents more detailed proposals for these policies, and invites further consultation on options for implementing the Child Trust Fund. It also announces the Goverment's intention to launch a number of pilot projects to assess how best to deliver the Saving Gateway. Also available below is an Appendix to Delivering Saving and Assets, which presents more detailed results from the consultation.

The full document and the appendix are available below in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer you can download the software free of charge from the Adobe website.
