Consultation on secondary legislation for Home Reversions and Ijara home financing arrangements
Following the enactment of the Land Transactions Act 2005, the Treasury has today (31 March 2006) published a consultation document on secondary legislation for the regulation of Home Reversion and Home Purchase Plans. The consultation closes on 23 June.
This consultation is for all of those interested in the regulation of Home Reversion Plans and Ijara home financing arrangements. It will therefore be especially relevant to those who design and sell these products or act as advisers or arrangers for them. The consultation will also be of interest to the consumers of these products.
This consultation seeks views on a series of questions relating to the activities to be included in secondary legislation and the definition of those activities. The purpose of this consultation is to ensure the effective regulation of Home Reversion Plans and Ijara home financing arrangements by the FSA.
