Modernising the arrangements for registration and transfer of British Government Stock Consultation

This consultation paper seeks views on a proposed model for a re-engineered gilts registration service, based on the removal of paper from the system, replacing certificates with a statement and ensuring transfer of title through the CREST system. It considers the legislation required to put these changes into effect, and seeks views on the costs and benefits to market participants.
