The Government has published its response to consultation on proposals to update the Myners principles. This consultation, which closed in June 2008, was based on a study commissioned by the Government and carried out by the National Association of Pensions Funds (NAPF) in 2007.
The key themes which came out of the consultation process are:
The Investment Governance Group is an industry led body with its membership comprised of experienced figures directly involved in the governance of investment decision-making. This group has a mandate to tackle the issues identified in the NAPF’s proposals and endorsed by the consultation.
