The consultation on the Treasury's proposals to amend Part 7 of the Companies Act 1989 closed on 14 October. The Treasury has considered the responses, which were all supportive of the proposals, and has produced a Summary of Responses. A few technical revisions have been made to the draft Regulations, and the Treasury proposes to allow until the end of January for final comment on these revisions. The final Statutory Instrument will be made and laid as soon as possible after this date. The revised draft regulations are included in the Summary of Responses document.
