The Treasury and DTI are today (23 July 2002) issuing a joint consultation document, together with a Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) examining ways in which greater disclosure of beneficial ownership of companies could help law enforcement agencies tackle financial crime.
The Government invites comments by 14 November 2002 on the issues set out in this Consultation Document. Comments should be sent to:
