Opportunities for school leavers, first jobbers, experienced PA’s or administrators
If you have just left school or are looking for a career change, we offer Business Support roles - administrative, secretarial and junior managers providing vital support to our business teams and directorates.
What will you do:
- Managing diaries and meetings for one or more people within a team or business area;
- Designing and running essential office information systems;
- Assisting on budgeting and business planning for a team or business area;
- Purchasing and maintaining office supplies and equipment;
- Handling enquiries via telephone and correspondence;
- Acting as a central team or business co-ordinator on issues such as training and development, health and safety and statistics/data
- Producing and presenting written information in variety of formats, mostly using Word, PowerPoint, and our document management system;
- Researching and managing information, using a variety of sources;
- Coaching and supporting others in the team/directorate.
In a junior manager role you could additionally be:
- managing someone in a junior business support role by guiding their development, allocating work/responsibilities and managing performance;
- Supporting policy work – E.g. monitoring or assisting with announcements on money spent in any of the public services; or dealing with enquiries from the public or others in Government, on financial or policy areas that the Treasury is involved in.
