Technical architect

The Treasury is responsible for formulating and implementing the UK Governments financial and economic policy

This challenging role gives you a rare opportunity to develop technical architecture and research new technologies on an exciting IT transformation project at the heart of Central Government.

You’ll focus your expertise on the ‘Fit for Future’ programme – a key initiative established to reduce the risk of failure in HM Treasury’s infrastructure by improving system reliability and inter-operability while standardising IT services. You’ll play an important part in creating the enterprise architecture for this programme – creating and documenting the implementation route map, investigating appropriate new technologies and testing those deployed to ensure they meet the organisation’s requirements and comply with its overall technical strategy.

To be considered, you must combine a recent track record of designing IT architectures in large, complex organisations with proven experience of designing and documenting these in line with TOGAF. Analytical and an effective project manager with strong report writing skills, you must also be able to work collaboratively across the full spectrum of IT disciplines.
