Review of criminal investigations and prosecutions conducted by HM Customs and Excise by the Hon Mr Justice Butterfield

In November 2002, the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, John Healey MP and the Attorney General, the Rt Hon Lord Goldsmith QC, agreed to set up an independent review into current practices and procedures relating to disclosure, associated investigation techniques and case management in HM Customs and Excise criminal cases.

This Butterfield review has now been published and is available below in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF).
