About the Asset Protection Agency

The Asset Protection Agency (APA) is an executive arm of HM Treasury run by Chief Executive, Bill Dickinson.

Based in the City of London, the Agency's purpose is to operate the Asset Protection Scheme (APS). The APS was established during the financial crisis to improve confidence and restrict bank losses, so as to enable a financial sector recovery.
