The Risk Programme: STEERING GROUP
The steering group aims to support successful delivery of the programme of change, by:

Ensuring departments have a clear framework for action (as an integral part of the Departmental Change Programme);

Monitoring progress with implementation, and assessing whether this is resulting in better handling of risks;

Regularly reviewing, and if necessary adjusting, the content of the programme to ensure its continuing effectiveness and relevance;

Ensuring central support meets the needs of departments; and
-
Providing visible championing of the programme.

The Steering Group regularly reports to the Civil Service Management Board, and the Prime Minister (incorporating the standard arrangements for Strategy Unit reports).
