SUPPLEMENTARY CLAUSES
CLAUSE 138 AND SCHEDULE 39: REPEALS
1. Provides for the repeals contained in Schedule 39 of the Bill to have effect. It also gives effect to the Notes in the Schedule that set out the commencement provisions and savings applying to the repeals.
CLAUSE 139: INTERPRETATION
2. Provides for the use of ?the Taxes Act 1988" as an abbreviation for the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.
CLAUSE 140: SHORT TITLE
3. Provides for the Bill to be known as ?the Finance Act 2002" on enactment.
