The Project

New solar-powered road studs which are more effective that traditional 'cats eyes' in lighting up the route have been installed on the A20 near between Folkestone and Dover in Kent.

With ten times more visibility than traditional cats eyes - the new road studs are solar powered and do not need the light from drivers headlights to work. They light up the road ahead and are well suited to allow better visibility, particularly at night along this 6.3 mile (10.2km) section of the A20.
