The Project

Works to improve traffic flow in the event of an incident  for road users on the M2 started on Friday 19 February 2010 and were completed in March 2010.

The works to install three removable barriers in the central reserve at various locations from M2 junction 5 at Sittingbourne to junction 6 at Faversham allow road users to cross to the opposite carriageway in the event of an incident.

For the safety of all road users traffic will be carefully controlled on both carriageways.
