The Project

The Highways Agency resurfaced sections of the A259 between East Guldeford and Brooklands in East Sussex and Kent from Monday 22 February for five weeks.

Due to the nature of the work and the traffic management required to carry it out, the A259 was closed overnight at four of the five work locations. Only one site was closed per night.

The works locations were:

  • A259 East Guldeford Bend
  • A259 East Guldeford Railway Crossing
  • A259 Lamb Farm
  • A259 Woolpack Bend
  • A259  Folkestone Road Railway Crossing
