The Project
The A1 CCTV scheme includes the design and installation of five new camera sites to provide the Highways Agency with CCTV coverage of areas of the A1 that currently are not covered by CCTV. These areas have been identified as high priority areas to receive CCTV coverage for reasons such as being prone to congestion and experiencing high traffic volumes.
The sites are located near Apleyhead, Markham Moor, Barrowby, Grantham and Stamford.
Traffic Management
Civils work (foundations, masts and cabinets) which required traffic management was completed in March 2010.
No further HA traffic management is required but additional electrical work will be required in May 2010.
