The Project

Work was completed on 13 June 2010 to replace worn out road surface on both the northbound and southbound carriageways with new quieter material, to upgrade the lighting, and to replace safety fencing along a 3km (1.9 mile) stretch of the A500.

The lighting was removed from the central reserve and put in the verge alongside the A500.  The pedestrian footpath was realigned to accomodate the lighting.

We also renewed and upgraded the illuminated and non-illuminated road signs and posts at various locations along the route and also carried out some drainage maintenance works.
