The Project

A section of the A40 at Churcham, located between Pocketts Cottage and Queens Farm is subject to seasonal flooding. In order to reduce the risk of future flooding, a new culvert has been installed to link two ditches on the North & South sides of the road and to collect the highway run-off.

Following additional investigation work and subsequent design revisions, the A40 Churcham drainage repair scheme started construction on 28 October 2010 and was completed on 25 May 2011.
