The Project

The Highways Agency carried out a resurfacing scheme on the A49 south of Dorrington village in Shropshire. The works started on the 12 October 2009 and were completed end of November 2009.

The works were needed to maintain the carriageway in a safe condition as the carriageway surface had reached the end of its serviceable life.

The works were 1.4km in length and were approximately 500m north of the railway bridge at Dorrington to 900m south of the bridge.
