The Project

The Highways Agency has carried out improvement works to the eastbound and westbound bus lay-bys on the A30 near Staines in Middlesex. Work started on Monday 10 August 2009 and lasted for 35 days between the daytime hours of 9.30 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday.

The improvement works to eastbound and westbound bus lay-bys included

  • Raising the kerb levels
  • Footway resurfacing
  • Repainting the markings
  • Installing new signs
  • Repositioning of bus stop posts and the drainage gullies.
