The Project

Works started in August 2009 and were completed on 19 January 2010.

Queenhill Viaduct is a 750m long structure spanning the River Severn, located on the M50 between Junctions 1 and 2.

We carried out major refurbishment to the eastbound carriageway including the viaduct. The works included concrete repairs to the deck and new waterproof membrane, parapets, expansion joints and surfacing. The works were required to ensure the structural integrity of the viaduct is maintained. The new parapet improves vehicle containment at both near and offside verges in the event of an accident.
