A1 Allerdene Railway Bridge
The Project
The A1 Allerdene Bridge scheme in Gateshead (PDF 444KB) involved concrete repairs and strengthening works to the structure, waterproofing and carriageway resurfacing, and the replacement of bridge joints and the safety barrier.
The scheme started on 18 July 2009 and was completed on 18th September at an estimated cost of £1.5m.
