M5 Northway Column Strengthening
The Project
Following our work on Queenhill viaduct, we continued our major maintenance works at the above location on the M5 between Junctions 8 and 9. Work started on 23 March 2009 and was completed on 21 Sepember 2009.
We refurbished the columns supporting the motorway and repaired the central support at Bredons Hardwick Barns Bridge which was damaged in a collision in 2004. The working area stretched for approximately 3.5 km in both directions.
