Road Project

Work to ensure two overhead gantries on the northbound carriageway of the M69 on the approach to Junction 21 of the M1 continue to meet safety standards has been completed.  The work was necessary to ensure the continued safety of the maintenance workers who need to access the gantries.

All work was carried over-night when traffic was less busy, to limit delays to road users.  When Junction 1 of the M69 was closed, traffic was diverted via the A5, A4303 and the M1.  When Junction 2 of the M69 was closed, traffic was diverted via the B4669, B4114, A563 and A5460.

Work started on the 8th of December and was completed by the 19th of December 2008.
