The Project

Work to resurface sections of the carriageway on the A23 started on Monday 10 November 2008 and were completed in 2 weeks as scheduled.

The works were carried out in order to maintain a high level of safety for all highways users and took place on one carriageway at a time between 8.00pm and 6.00am each evening.

For the safety of road users and the workforce, the A23 was closed between Pease Pottage interchange and Bolney junction whilst work took place. Works were carried out on one carriageway at a time with road users following a fully signed diversion route. There were additional signed diversion routes for local residents.
