M2 Bridge Safety Work
The Project
Work to strengthen two bridges crossing over the M2 at Sittingbourne and Faversham in Kent is now complete.
The Lynsted Road bridge, and Sawpit Road bridge between junction 5 and 6 are were strengthened to increase their resistance should they be struck by a vehicle.
To limit delays to road users, work took place on both bridges at the same time, and was completed in two phases.
