The Project

The scheme is to implement reduced speed limits with associated road markings and signs at Stapleton and Winters Cross and to upgrade speed restriction signs at the following locations:

  • Bayston Hill
  • Leebotwood
  • Ludlow
  • Leominster
  • Peterstow

There was also two vehicle activated speed signs erected on the approaches to Bayston Hill. Timetable

Works commenced in early January 2009 and was completed on 27 March 2009.

The works will contribute to a reduction in speed related collisions on the A49.
