Summer 2007
Lady Lane Bridge
On 10 October 2007, the concrete deck was poured on Lady Lane bridge which essentially completes the structural form. The next stages were to waterproof the deck, construct the edge protection and parapets, and install drainage behind the abutments. Work on the new bridge continued until Christmas and traffic was then diverted away from the existing road and over the bridge to connect with the existing A419 trunk road. This allowed the redundant section of Lady Lane to be removed and construction of the new bypass to continue through this location.
