The Project
The scheme involved changes to the northbound lane markings approaching the Metro Centre, increasing the capacity on the Metro Centre northbound exit sliproad and the re-alignment of the Dunston southbound exit slip road.
The scheme is started on the 2nd March 2009 and was completed on 31st March 2009 and cost an estimated £450k.
The Traffic Management consisted of slip road closures, lane closures, diversions and speed restrictions.
