The Project

The A45/A46 Stivichall Junction is a double grade separated interchange located to the south of Coventry. High traffic demand has meant that congestion has reached significant levels, in particular  the significant queuing and delays on the A46 NB off slip and A45 westbound off slip as result of limited road capacity; and a high incidence of congestion related accidents.

This scheme aims to construct a third lane on the A45 westbound off slip approach to the roundabout to create a designated lane to the A46 southbound, install new MOVA controlled traffic signals at the A46 northbound offslip and circulatory carriageway; and add appropriate road signs, lane markings and safety fencing.

Post Opening Project Evaluation

As part of our ongoing programme of Post Opening Project Evaluation (POPE) a study has been undertaken comparing the outturn effects of this scheme to the predicted impacts.  A summary of the report is available to download below. If you require a full version of the report, please contact us.
