24 November 2011 - Highways Agency statement following the publication of the independent review of the strategic road network by Alan Cook  

Highways Agency Chief Executive Graham Dalton said:
 
"We welcome today’s publication, and thank Alan Cook for his clear and comprehensive report and recommendations. It is now for the Secretary of State to give the report her consideration. We await the outcome and look forward to working with the Secretary of State and her Department in due course."
