M62 - Your Local History
A lot of finds were uncovered during the archaeological evaluation carried out for the M62 Junction 6 Improvement scheme so we thought it would be nice to provide an interactive website so you can see what we found.

Working in Partnership
The Agency cannot address all the issues of accessibility in isolation. For example, provision of new or improved facilities needs to be considered on a network-wide basis, rather than simply focusing on the trunk road element of the journey. So we work in partnership with a variety of other bodies, including local authorities, transport providers, special interest groups and the local community, to realise maximum benefits.
Our actions include:
- Working with local authorities to draw up walking and cycling strategies.
- Working with local communities and other parties, to set priorities for walking, cycling and horse riding use within urban and rural areas.
- Working with disability groups to provide for their specific needs.
- Working with Sustrans to help complete the National Cycle Network.
- Working with schools and local authorities to develop school travel plans.
- Working with employers and local authorities to develop workplace travel plans.
