Business Directorates
Business Services
Business Services Directorate is responsible for developing strategies and policies to enable the Agency to secure and retain a diverse motivated workforce with the necessary competencies to provide an efficient service to its customers.
Business Services directorate provides the HR specialist expertise, people development and business information systems necessary to support the Agency's business. In addition, the directorate provides internal and external communications expertise including exhibitions, graphics, Portal (Highways Agency's intranet) and the Knowledge centre.
As a business services group, this directorate seeks to implement approaches that minimise the costs to the Agency of providing these support functions. This includes monitoring opportunity for outsourcing of service provision, and ensuring existing outsource contracts are expertly managed.
