PETITION TO BAN CLUSTER BOMBS

Every year, countless children and adults are killed and maimed as a result of the ongoing use of cluster bombs. Join over 310,000 people in supporting Handicap International's Ban Cluster Bombs campaign by signing the online petition.

 

November 2006: Launch of the first global report on Cluster Munitions - Fatal Fooprint: The Global Human Impact of Cluster Munitions.
This groundbreaking preliminary report by Handicap International is the first to document the impact of cluster munitions on the lives of people in all 24 countries and regions which are known to be affected by these weapons. Read more about the report.

October 2006: Special Cambodia Appeal. Handicap International has recently launched an appeal to support landmine victims in Cambodia. Every day, three Cambodians are killed or maimed by landmines. We need your support now! Read more about our work in Cambodia.

September 2006: Lebanon Crisis. Unexploded cluster bombs are one of the main threats for civilians in Lebanon. Handicap International is currently preparing to set up and train Lebanese mine clearance teams, which should be operational in October. Clearing cluster bombs in Southern Lebanon will take several months, if not over a year. Read more.

May 2006: 'The Miracle Boat' on BBC Four. 'The Miracle Boat' is the story of Handicap International's orthopaedic boat in the Philippines. Our boat brings treatment to disabled people in the most isolated islands, helping them regain their mobility and independence. Read more
