Government Office for London
The 2010 Comprehensive Spending Review confirmed that the Government
Offices for the Regions will also close at the end of March 2011.
Responsibilities for the remit of the Government Offices have transferred
to a number of different Government departments.

As part of the Government’s commitment to localism, decentralisation
and the rolling back of regional government, Ministers announced in May
2010 the abolition of the Government Office for London.
The Government Office for London has now closed. The
Comprehensive Spending Review 2010 confirmed that the Government Offices
for the Regions will also be closed. The GO Network will
therefore close no later than the end of March 2011.
Work is continuing on the transition of work from GOL to other
organisations.
