Visit the GAC

The GAC is primarily a working collection and does not have a designated exhibition space open to the public. However, we do offer group tours of our central London premises. Visitors can see a selection of works from the Collection and can find out more about the history, role and operational side of the GAC.

Our tours are for established groups (maximum 20 people) on alternate Wednesday evenings. Tours last up to one hour and must be pre-booked. Demand is high, so early booking is essential. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a Wednesday evening group tour.

In 2007 there will also be two additional opportunities to visit the GAC:

Museums and Galleries Month Open Day, 12 May 2007. As part of this UK-wide event, we will be open to the public on Saturday 12 May. Tours will be held on the hour throughout the day, starting at 10.00 am, with the final tour starting at 4.00 pm. The tour at 2.00 pm will be interpreted in British Sign Language. All tours are free but must be pre-booked, since we expect demand to be high. Please contact us to book a place.

London Open House, 15 and 16 September 2007. We participate in this annual event, with tours on both days, again starting at 10.00 am, and the final tour starting at 4.00 pm. All tours are free but must be pre-booked. Please contact us to book a place. More information about the London Open House weekend can be found at www.openhouse.org.uk
