Fairtrade producers Tookie, Masauko, Massatoma and Moses have been touring the UK this Fairtrade Fortnight and our producer tour blog has been keeping up with them as they visit Fairtrade towns groups, schools, retailers and faith groups the length and breadth of the land. Here’s an extract from when Tookie visited Luton’s Fairtrade town group on Monday.

This week all across the UK, people have been taking steps in their thousands, steps to make trade work for those who are getting a rough deal from international trade. As we come to the end of the first week of Fairtrade Fortnight, and look forward to all the excitement still to come in week 2, we’re already well on our way to reaching our target of 1.5 million steps by the end of 2012.
