The European Commission invites you to submit your Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) cases to the European eGovernment Awards scheme.

Cases and experiences from all types of public sector organisations are welcome. Whether local, regional, national or cross-border, your case and experience will show how ICT can improve service delivery to citizens and businesses across Europe.

The finalists and winners of the European eGovernment Awards will be selected by a panel of eminent independent experts.

By participating, you will have a chance to:

  • Win one of the prestigious European eGovernment Awards
  • Exhibit at a high-level Ministerial eGovernment Conference
  • Be awarded with the epractice.eu Good Practice Label in recognition of your proven credibility, grade of excellence and scope of research
  • Become a distinguished case within the ePractice.eu community of experts
  • Draw attention to your achievements in the use of ICT in your home town, region or country
  • Network with other stakeholders and have your case and experience highlighted on the epractice.eu portal

The European eGovernment Awards are organised every two years. The aim is to identify and select good practices in the use of ICT in public services and highlight the benefits of ICT to society, including:

  • Improved quality of life of citizens
  • Increased public trust in government
  • Increased competitiveness of European enterprises

The awards stimulate innovation and shared learning by identifying and promoting good practices. The focus of the European eGovernment Awards is in line with the strategic goals of the i2010 - A European Information Society for Growth and Employment and other European Commission initiatives for the development of an information society for all. The awards also support the www.epractice.eu good practice exchange initiative.
