In association with Crowd Dynamics Limited (www.crowddynamics.com), this event will explore in detail how individuals and crowds react to and behave in available spaces at public assembly. The workshop will also highlight the use of appropriate modelling techniques and tools to provide a focus on safety in relation to the design and management of such places.

Impact of Animal Diseases Seminar
14 - 16 July 2004


In recent years we have all seen the impact a major outbreak of animal disease can have on the UK. One of the key messages to emerge from recent outbreaks is the need for a co-ordinated and measured response from all of the organisations involved.

The Emergency Planning College, in partnership with the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, has developed a programme which provides all of the organisations involved in responding to a major outbreak of animal disease a national forum for learning, sharing good practice and networking.
