The pay and grading structure for the Senior Civil Service

The Senior Civil Service (SCS) is made up of the Civil Service’s top managers, specialists and policy advisors and currently has around 4,000 members.

The pay and grading structure for the SCS is managed by the Cabinet Office. The Cabinet Office is responsible for providing evidence to the Senior Salaries Review Body, which provides independent advice to the government on the Senior Civil Service system.

Go to the Civil Service website, which you can find on the right hand side of this page, for more information about pay and grading arrangements for the Senior Civil Service.
