  • Welcome to East Midlands Tourism

    East Midlands Tourism (EMT), East Midlands Development Agency’s tourism arm, is the body responsible for developing tourism in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland.

    EMT’s role is to increase the economic impact of the region’s visitor economy, oversee delivery of the tourism strategy as well as contribute to national priorities. This site contains information on forthcoming eventsresearch and statistics on the tourism sector in the East Midlands and information on marketing and quality projects EMT supports.

    Tourism is important to the East Midlands, attracting over 141 million visitors to the region annually. It offers significant potential for economic development. The sector contributes some £5.9bn to the local economy and provides jobs for around 100,000 people. more
