Get ideas and real examples of what people are already doing to inspire you.

These documents have been developed with the help of the Beth Johnson Foundation.

We will be continuing with the “Bringing generations together” theme for this year’s activity. Last year the theme proved very popular and we want to extend and promote the theme with community activities that help people of different ages, from different backgrounds, to come together.

Full of Ideas toolkit

The Full of Ideas toolkit was developed for UK Older People’s Day 2008 and includes a selection of “ready made” event ideas, based on the theme of bringing generations together to promote greater understanding and respect. This has been designed to help plan events from start to finish. We are updating the toolkit for 2009 based on feedback and will have a revised version with additional content available soon. However you can still access the 2008 toolkit and use the ideas in it to help get you started in planning for UK Older People’s Day 2009.
