- Was the student and youth worker for a church in South London. It was a natural move to then work for DWP which aims to promote opportunity and independence for all.
- Joined DWP through the Civil Service Fast Stream programme.
Leadership role
I lead the HR Strategic Planning Centre of Expertise - I am responsible for HR planning and strategy, governance, finance and performance monitoring. I am in charge of HR operations for the Department's Senior Civil Servants and responsible for honours nominations for DWP.

I am proud to work for DWP because it has such important social aims and I am excited by the challenge of contributing to rewarding objectives like the eradication of Child Poverty. I have been privileged to have some fantastic and demanding roles in the Department already including managing a Jobcentre Plus office and being the HR Business Partner for Group Finance and I never cease to be amazed by the support of the people I have worked with and the team-working culture that I have experienced.
