Additional information and photographs

A Board of Trade list of April 1918 describes D F Alexander as a Private in the 9th Battalion (Queen Victoria's Rifles) so at some stage he must have transferred to the Civil Service Rifles.  He is commemorated on the scroll within the Civil Service Rifles Memorial at Somerset House, London WC2.
