Technology
Strategy
Introduction
Innovation
works best when there is a strong market demand and the Technology
Strategy will be focused on this agenda. An appointed Technology
Strategy Board formed mainly of senior business representatives
will continue to develop the strategy and identify technology
priorities critical to the growth of the UK economy. They ensure
that the technology priorities within the Technology Programme are
market-focussed and advise on the broad allocation of resources to
them. The Board acts as a high level forum for interaction
between business, government and other stakeholders.
The results of the Board's input to the Technology Strategy will
shape further Competitions for funding under the Technology
Programme.
