Manufacturing It helps
deliver key goals identified by a number of high value-added
sectors such as aerospace, automotive, chemicals and the built
environment and also addresses the broad cross sectoral agenda of
manufacturing. A key feature is its focus on implementing and
integrating developments covered under other technology headings.
Factors driving change include
globalisation and UK focus on high value-added activity to
maintain a competitive advantage; complexity; policy agendas set
by other Government departments; and sustainability and regulatory
issues.
