Bioprocessing:
The
Bioscience Innovation and Growth Team identified a number of areas
where translational research would have a beneficial impact on
the strength of the UK bioscience sector. The most important area
to be strengthened was bioprocessing technology, in particular
novel manufacturing approaches for proteins and other biopharmaceuticals,
high-throughput bioprocess technologies, bioseparation, and tissue
engineering / stem cell technology.
