  Standards and Technical Regulations Forum

Welcome to the Standards and Technical Regulations Forum. On these pages we will publish articles by companies or other bodies that have benefited through their commitment to standardisation. We hope the experiences shared by these bodies will help to advance thinking about standardisation and encourage others to think about how they, too, could gain.

Do you have a good news story to tell? Or a reasoned opinion on how standardisation works - or could work - in the context of your commercial or societal interest? If so, email us your article.

We hope to make the Forum a lively source of information and opinion, but must of course reserve the right to decide whether to publish individual articles and how long articles will remain on these pages.

We begin with an article by a leading manufacturing association, the PPMA, on the fruits of its commitment to European standardisation since the mid 1980's. PDFppmakeay.pdf (35 Kb)
