STRD advise Ministers on the need for changes
to existing safety legislation or new measures, including proposals for new or
amended EU Directives, have responsibility for the negotiation,
post-implementation policy and administration of the Low Voltage Directive and the Gas Appliances Directive, together with their associated
Regulations.
